Contacting The Bell

The Bell's contact details are below. Email and telephone enquiries leave this website and use your email or telephone service. Share only the details needed for your enquiry, such as a date, party size and a way to reply.

For dietary or access questions, describe the practical requirement. Avoid unnecessary medical history, diagnoses or other guests' personal details. Speak with the team about what is needed to plan a safe visit.

What is optional on this website

On this website, optional content means one thing: an interactive Google map. It only loads if you choose Allow optional content, or turn Google Maps on in Privacy choices. Until then, no map is loaded and nothing is requested from Google for it.

When the map loads, Google may receive your IP address and browser information, and Google may use its own cookies and storage. The embedded map does not send a referrer URL. Google explains its processing at policies.google.com/privacy.

The live Food Standards Agency rating badge is not used on this website. You can always view our official food hygiene record on food.gov.uk through a normal link. We don't add analytics or advertising trackers.

3

What always works

Booking, phone, menus, opening hours, directions links and the link to our official food hygiene record work whatever you choose.

4

Your choice and how we remember it

Use Privacy choices at the bottom of any page, or Change privacy choices on this page, to allow or deny optional content at any time.

Your choice is saved in a cookie named the_bell_cookie_consent on this website for 180 days. It records the choice, which optional content is on, and when the choice was made and expires. It is not an advertising identifier. After 180 days, or if we change what is optional, we ask again.

If you close the site notice at the top of the page, this website stores the-bell:site-banner:dashain-closure-2026:closed-this-session in session storage. It is strictly necessary: it remembers that you closed the site notice, lasts until you close the tab, and holds no personal data.

Turning optional content off removes it from the page and stops it loading again. It doesn't delete information a provider has already received. That is covered by the provider's own privacy policy, and browser settings can remove stored third-party cookies.

The appearance toggle is kept in memory for the current page session and does not read or write theme storage. Menu and allergen searches stay in page memory.

5

Booking, takeaway and other websites

Online table booking opens Nabatable at www.nabatable.com/restaurants/the-bell/book. Online takeaway ordering opens TouchTakeaway at thebellpe28.touchtakeaway.net. These are separate websites: review the privacy information and choices shown there before entering personal information. Your privacy choice here does not set your preferences on those sites.

Directions, reviews and social links also take you to external services when selected. You can call The Bell instead of using online booking or ordering.

6

Your information rights

Depending on the processing and applicable legal conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your information, and object to processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it; this does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Contact The Bell using the details below to make a request.

Contact the pub if you need information about how an enquiry or booking is handled or how long its details are retained.

7

Data-protection complaints

You can make a data-protection complaint to The Bell by email, phone or post using the details below. Explain your concern and how you would like to be contacted; avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Data protection law requires acknowledgement within 30 days of receipt, appropriate enquiries and progress updates, and communication of the outcome without undue delay. The 30 days is for acknowledgement, not a promise that every complaint will be resolved within that period.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). The link below explains how to raise a concern.

Questions?

Contact the pub directly if you want to ask about your information.

We keep this page plain on purpose, and we will do the same if you get in touch with a privacy question.

Whether you want to correct something, ask what we hold, or simply check how a booking detail is used, we are happy to point you in the right direction.
